You can invite one or more of your friends to see your breadcrumbs map as you travel or the map can be viewed by you or your invited friends afterwards. Each breadcrumb shows your exact location and shows the date and time that you were at that location. My posse is a free app that comes with full functionality for 12 contacts. And you can easily add dozens of additional contacts.
